This is what you put on the stereo when you’re alone in your hotel room looking out at the lights of Sydney harbor, on your third tequila and tonic and waiting for Jack’s father to knock on the door.  (OMG I have been watching too much Lost.  Not that we could imagine Ana-Lucia grooving solo in a hotel room anyway.)  

This is what you play when you’ve finally got her back to your place and the last one said “Oh god, not Blue Lines again.  Why does every guy think Blue Lines is the only music for having sex?”

This is what makes your four-and-a-half-year-old happy. “(Yoko Ono)… is so undeniably funky that my son memorized the beat after hearing it once and remembered it for two weeks until I played it again: ‘Dad, this is Tosca! I love this song!’” Etc.
